Quakes from 4.0 to 9.9 consistently increase during the period from 1970 to 1999.
During the 1970's there were 40,680 quakes.
During the 1980's there were 53,903 quakes.
During the 1990's there were 77,760 quakes.
The 1980's had an increased over the 1970's of 13,223 quakes.
The 1990's had an increased over the 1980's of 23,857 quakes.
