    Boot disk worked ok. Probably MBR is corrupt, will run "fdisk /mbr" from Win95 boot disk.
    fdisk /mbr didn't work, will check that /boot is marked active.
    /boot is marked active - will put LILO out again on /boot.
    Check /etc/lilo.conf, found that the following line is incorrect
    boot=/dev/sda6
    
    This line should read
    boot=/dev/sda1
    
    Changed the line and reran /sbin/lilo -v.
