Called the Rucker House, this 1890's Victorian-Queen Anne mansion and carriage house can be seen at 418 South Third Street. America's love affair with the porch or verendah found fulfilment in the Queen Anne style. Turrets, towers, and fenciful wide gazebos characterize the Queen Anne style along with varied shingle patterns and surfaces. The Rucker House illustrates these attributes. The home serves as a private residence.
