A VOICE OF WARNING
Word from Heaven
The angel has come, the latter day prophet is here. John in Revelation said he would come with the everlasting gospel to preach to the world. He said it would be in the hour of God's judgement. Does that sound strange to you, have you noticed any thing in the last hundred years concerning the judgments? Yes the world has been torn by war, nations torn apart. Earthquakes that have shook the world, destroying millions. Pestilence that has baffled the skill of all physicians and men's hearts fail them for fear for the things that are coming on the earth. You may say we have the everlasting gospel. We do have it in word, but Paul said the Gospel which He preached was not delivered in word only. but in power and much assurance and in the Holy Ghost. That's authority and without this authority you might have the word, but no one to administer it. So God would send an angel in these latter days with the everlasting Gospel to preach. Rev. 14:6 7. Now this event would mark the beginning of the work of preparation for the coming of the Son of God the second time. Read Ps. 85:3, Isa. 29:10 15, Ezek. 37 .15 25, Mal. 3:1; Matt. 24. In these Scriptures are clearly set forth the work at evening time and the events of our time.

What can you do about it? Someone says I can't do anything about it. Oh yes you can, you can get ready for His coming and be among the guests at the wedding.
That will be the greatest event in all history, the one goal for which all the prophets and ancient worthies have worked for. The fulfillment of all the promises. The earth will be changed, the trees and all vegetation will sing and clap their hands. Now this work of preparation began by the Lord sending the angel Moroni to the young man telling him the time had come and God would bring forth the Stick of Joseph, the Jews would return, the church would be set up and never would be given to another people. That same Lord sent Peter, James and John and ordained them, and this young man became the prophet, Seer and Revelator of this opening of the last dispensation. The church was organized on April 6, IS30 at Fayette, Seneca County, N. Y., with six charter members. All were young men under 25, with one exception.
It had a small beginning, but like the stone that was cut out of the mountain, it gathered and grew until in 14 years it numbered near 200,000. The Lord directed in the set up of the church and there were no blunders on His part and it agrees perfectly with the New Testament order of church government. So also in the message there was not a thing left out. So as we go in these little sermons and personal experiences we will bring to you a living church and a gospel that is aflame with the inspiration and a people who hunger for those gifts of light whose goal is Zion Redeemed. Don't turn it down, it's alive and He offers it to you alive.
Now one of the most outstanding prophecies is in Ezek. 37, concerning the union of the Stick of Joseph with the Stick of Judah and the man who would bring this about would say, thus saith the Lord. No one but a prophet

would say that. Don't pass this up lightly. Jesus Christ is the Author of all Scripture. Holy men of old spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost and Jesus said if I go away I will send Him unto you. The prophecy is laden with information of His coming. Ps. 85:13, 'Mal. 3, Ps. 50, another sure sign of His coming is the gathering of Israel back to their homeland, which as you know became a nation May 14, 1948. The former and later rains came back in 1853 4 and made it possible for Israel to return as they did.
Now turn to Ezek. 37:15, and you read of the two records; they were joined then. Israel returned and became a nation. The record was delivered to the young prophet, he translated it and delivered it to the printer in 1829. At that time the prophet was 24 years old. Its contents are amazing its terminology is of 2,000 years ago, a marvelous record of the writings of the prophets of Joseph's line who lived, and wrote in this land of America from 600 B. C. to 400 A. D., a span of 1,000 years and were the people whom Jesus referred to when He said, "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold." as of John 10:16. Another sign of these latter days and rang out in this voice of warning was, "These signs shall follow them that believe."Do you believe? Well, why stop short of the goal. Jesus made the promise. We have a lot of unbelievers, even ministers deny these signs that follow the believers and proclaim against them. Sure looks like some one is going to hell. Those who proclaim against these promises are unbelievers, and the wicked shall be turned into Hell with all the nations that forget God. So there they go and you can't stop them.
Another outstanding promise is that if anyone would ask God with an honest heart believing He would receive, God would reveal it to them. God does not change. You

I know He made the promises in Galilee. They could know His word whether it was of God or whether of man. Let Him lead and that's His way. Are you still with me? Write me a line and tell me you can walk on this road and I'll pray and sing, "Blest Be the Tie That Binds Our Hearts in Christian Love."
Now look over the points of interest in this warning as you have the Scripture of Rev. 14:6 7, Matt. 24:14, Mai. 3:1 2, Mal. 4:1, Ps. 85. 1 could give you more, but what will we do with these? I believe them and then the goal of a Zion of our God to be built, the church set up. The gifts are given, so I'm ready to put all that I have into it. I've put all I have into it for over fifty years and still going, so come on with me and we will finish the job.
A SPIRITUAL DREAM
When I was living in Richmond, Missouri I had a spiritual dream. I dreamed I went to visit a man in town, I knew the man real well. In my dream I had a nice visit and returning home the voice of the Lord spoke to me and told me to go back and wake that man up, he's sound asleep. I went back in my dream and knocked on the door and he awoke and came to the door and I said to him, "John, the Lord God told me to tell you the business of the Kingdom is very urgent and you'd better do something about it." He replied, "Is that so?" I said, "Yes and you'd better do it." In my dream I went home and just as I laid down in bed I awoke. I complied with the warning and told the man.
The Lord said a wise man when he builds a house will dig deep and lay a foundation on a rock. So let's be wise about the church. If the church we belong to does not have the New Testament pattern as of Matt. 4, Luke 10, I Cor. 12:23, Eph. 4, Acts 9, better look around and find

the church with the right name. The Church of Jesus Christ. You can't get into the celestial kingdom under another name. No other name has ever been given. The foundation of God stands sure, having the seal. The Lord knoweth them that are His.
THE LAYING ON OF HANDS
In the reading of the Scriptures there is one principal that stands out as an indispensible part which holds the whole structure together. This principle is the Laying on of Hands, all contracts that are of any importance have a seal, signature or stamp of approval of some kind that make them binding on all parties involved. We are involved in working out our salvation in fear and trembling before God. So He makes a covenant with us. One Scripture that refers to that is Jeremiah 31:31. The days come saith the Lord, I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah not according to the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand and lead them out of Egypt, which covenant they brake. But this is the covenant that I will make with them. I will put my law in their inward parts and write it upon their hearts, and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people.
So in this covenant there are ordinances such as, Baptism of water and the Baptism of the Spirit, and as you know it took a man called and sent of God to administer that rite. So also it takes the same authority to administer the Spirit Baptism. So when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God they sent unto them Peter and John, who when they had come they laid their hands on them that they might receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.
Does that sound right to you? Do you want it done in

some other way! Since that was God's way, why change it I God ways are not to be changed, what God doeth it shall be forever, leave it alone.
Again in regard to the call and ordination of the ministry. Read Num. 27:2, Let the Lord the God of the Spirits of all flesh set a man over the congregation which may go out before them and may go in before them, bring them out and bring them in that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep without a shepherd.
Now what would you think about that? Moses said that, that was a prayer to God. God answered that prayer, the answer is this, take thee Joshua the son of Nun and set him before Eleazer the priest, lay thy hand upon him, put some of thine honor upon him that all the congregation of Israel may be obedient. Could you tell that any plainer, who could make it more plain or simple? This was God's way. Was God's way ever changed? No, it still stands in the matter of calling and ordaining the ministry, read Heb. 5:4. No man taketh this honor unto himself, but he that is called of God as was Aaron. If you were to work in the ministry wouldn't you like to know it like Aaron? Moses the prophet told Aaron that God had called him, so that's settled forever, that is God's way.
Now concerning the little children. Would you want your baby blessed and received by the ministry of the Church of Jesus Christ as in days when He was here? If we would change the order of blessing to suit our notion or fancy would you be satisfied? Jesus Christ set the example and He took them up in His arms and also put His hands on them and blessed them, showing the disciples how to do it. That was His way and included the Laying on of Hands? His was right, though you may not see. Now if you go to the reunion with me this one thing you must do to make yourself ready for being born into His

Kingdom or church here, that your name may be in the Lamb's Book of Life and then you can come forth in the first Resurrection, and go to that reunion. otherwise you cannot.
My prayer for you.
0, Lord God of Israel will you please give to this dear soul light to see the way to Thy Kingdom and have courage to walk in and be led by Thy power to bring forth the work of a good citizen that when the Lord Jesus shall come, he can say to Him, enter thou into the Kingdom prepared for you.
I ask through Jesus Christ. Amen.
JESUS
What a challenge to anyone. Most everyone of the civilized world will admit that Jesus Christ has been and is the greatest and most wonderful Man the world has ever known. Be was known in all the dispensations of the past. The prophets wrote of Him. The angels sang at His birth. The heavens rejoiced and were open to the view of many who believed on Him. The morning stars sang together at His birth. He had power to call twelve legions of angels to assist Him. He's the only one who agreed to save the world with a personal sacrifice without renumeration. He only asked the glory He had before the world was.
He was chosen, sent, set apart, anointed and ordained to save the world, set His house in order, build the church, proclaim liberty to the captive spirits, preach the Gospel to the poor, died and demonstrate the resurrection of the dead. Had power to lay his life down and take it again. No other man ever had such power and no other ever will have such power. He ascended to heaven in plain view of His disciples. He will return again with all power in

heaven and earth and of His kingdom there will be no end.
The symphonies of Heaven and earth have done their best to sound His praise and glory. His name came from heaven by angel ministry. It's the sweetest name on mortal tongue, the sweetest carol ever sung. Jesus blessed Jesus. How could I forget Him when He's done so much for me? Some one said, how do you know it was Him who helped you? How do I know?' I saw Him in vision. I don't mean a dream, I mean an open vision. He has spoken to me several times in my mission work. That's my testimony. Is that testimony worth anything to you 7 I'll meet it in the Judgment. You might be asked about it there. Come with me, let's search for His church. It bears His name, it does not go under an assumed name or another name. There has been no other name given. It came from Heaven, "The Church of Jesus Christ." Let's all be united in the bonds of that Holy Union that makes us one and all go home together. Amen.
I SAW ANOTHER ANGEL
Does that sound strange to you? Some one said, there are no more angels now. What happened? Did they have the small pox in Heaven? I did not read of an epidemic of any kind, neither did I ever read of one single angel dying, angels do not die, only mortals die. So there are angels now and God has not changed their assignment of labor, or at least He has never given any information in regard to their being transferred to another job. Paul said they were administering spirits sent forth to minister unto those who shall be heirs of salvation. So that's settled and I'm on an equal footing with you.
If I should say I saw an angel, what would be your reaction? You might say I don't believe it. Well that would

not make the testimony untrue. John in Rev. 14:6, said he saw another angel, I believe it I saw a reason for God giving him the vision of the angel coming in the hour of God's judgment. A latter day event and that angel had the everlasting Gospel to preach. Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery said the angel came to them and laid his hand on them, saying, "Upon you my fellow servants, I confer the priesthood after the order of Aaron and it shall no more be taken from the earth until the sons of Levi shall offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. That was authority to preach, teach and administer. Do you know of any one else ever claiming the experience of the fulfillment of that mission? Think this over and bring me your answer. Well we are still not through with the subject. I wonder if any one else ever saw an angel? Many more can testify if we call them. I had an experience you might be interested in.
In February of 1930 1 was staying at my father's in Decatur, Nebraska, having returned from the west and was waiting to get settled somewhere near or in Independence. My brother Hubert, a long time missionary of the church was located in Detroit, Michigan. He had a little opposition and was discouraged a bit, all of which I did not know at that time. I was sleeping in the north room upstairs. One night at about three in the morning, some one walked up the steps; opened the kitchen door and I thought, who was coming in that time of the night, he walked across the kitchen, opened the stair door and came to my door and knocked. I said, "Who is it? He said, "Get up and write a letter to Hubert." I understood him perfectly, but said, "What?" He repeated it again and said, get up and write a letter to Hubert and send it through the air. I replied, "What shall I tell him? He replied, "It will be given you when you write. I said,

"0. K." He went back downstairs, walked out and shut the door. I rolled out of bed went downstairs into the living room, took my tablet and wrote the following message as fast as I could write. It was given to me. "My Dear Brother: I heard a voice, 'twas calling in the night. He bade me to arise and write a line. to you and send it through the air, that you may tell the people round you there. I've known the seed you are sowing years ago and I know the way you toss it to and fro.
"An early harvest will surely bring, many reapers are helping thee. Angels stationed here and there watching over the field so rare. Evil spirits all around, mad because of fertile ground. Their faces black and dirty. They say the work will not be done in 1930. More angels came and drove them back and said, we'll give you all you lack.
So onward. Brother, onward you are going. No one can stop this work, nor hinder seed from growing.

I wrote him a line and told him how I received it. Now someone says. well you did not see that messenger. No, I did not see him. but I heard him and I verily believe it was a heavenly messenger. Now these unbelievers still hold out and say, "I'm from Missouri, I got to see."
Well read this experience. The church sent me to South Dakota. I thought at that time they made a mistake and told my wife they sure made a mistake this time.
She said, "What"? I said, They sent me to South Dakota." She replied, "Don't you think anyone can preach in Nebraska as good as you." I said, "Yes, but that is not the point. I have so many good appointments in Nebraska and I could baptize a hundred people." She said,"You go and do what they told you and it will turn out all right." I went up to Sioux City, stayed over Sunday with

the saints, Monday morning I went to the depot, looked over a map of South Dakota. I only had a little money so I could not go very far. I went to Elk Point, the first railroad junction in the state, just a little way. I decided I would go out and open up new places, didn't even inquire where the saints in the state lived. Elk Point was a town of three or four thousand, and I walked all over that town, walked all day and didn't find anyone who was interested in me or my story. The day was gone. I thought I would go to a cheap hotel. I found a bed for $1.00 and supper for 25 cents. I was really hungry. I had 40 cents left. I went to bed but before I crawled into that bed, I got down on my knees and told the Lord all about it, and asked Him to tell me where I could go and find a place to preach, but to tell me in a way I would not have to guess at it. I slept good and at six in the morning some one knocked on my door, the door was locked, but he came in, stood before me, pointed his finger at me and said, "You go to Burbank, you will find a place to preach there." I, said, 0. K. "
He went out, I got up and dressed and went down, got my grips and went to the depot, not knowing if there was a town in South Dakota called Burbank. I .just had 40 cents in money left. I walked up to the window, asked the agent if there was a town in this state by the name of Burbank. He replied, "Yes there is. "I said, "Where is it?" He said, "Up the line just a little way. " I said, "What's the fare? ' ' He said, "40 cents." I said, "I want a ticket. When will there be a train going up there?" He said, "Well, Sir, there will be one here in a few minutes."
I went to Burbank, stepped off the train, not a cent in my pocket. I walked over to the store. It was a small town perhaps 800 or a thousand. I asked the merchant if there was a place in town where I could hold meetings.

I told him I was a missionary from Western Iowa. He said, "0, yes, the Woodman Hall, you go out east on that street and you will see a man out there in that cornfield, planting. He knows all about it." I went, found the man and asked him. He said, "How long do you want it?" I replied, "I might want it for two or three weeks." He said. "You can have it as long as you want it, we will furnish the light. fuel and janitor and it won't cost you anything. I said "Good enough I'll have meeting in that hall tonight and I want you to be there." He said he would, and was there too.
I walked all day visiting and inviting people out to the hall, about four o'clock in the afternoon I went to the
hall, sat down on the steps and I said to myself. I wonder where I will stay I said the God that sent me here
could take care of me as easy as pie. I'll go right across the street and ask the lad if I can stay with them. I went
over there and knocked on the door. The lady came and I introduced myself saying I am a missionary from Moorhead, Iowa, and I'm going to hold a series of meetings over there in the Woodman Hall, beginning tonight and I am a stranger here and wanted a place to stay and I just wondered if I could sta y with them. She said, "We're Catholics, we would not have anything to do with Protestants. " I replied, ''Fine I’m not a Protestant." She said, "You're either a Catholic or a Protestant and that's all there is to it." I said, "Well Sister, I don't care to argue that, but I'm not a Protestant, but let's be good neighbors." She said, ''Well you're a pretty good looking fellow, I believe I will let you stay." I thanked her, went and got my grips. The husband soon came in and supper
was ready, we sat down to eat. I sat beside him and we chatted a little. I said I'd like to have you come over to
the hall tonight. He said we are Catholics and we won't

go. I said you don't mind if I ask you. He said no. I said I'm going to ask you every day I'm here. He said it won't do any good. After church that night I went to my room, went to bed, snuggled down and was going to sleep. Some one came in and I heard him say, "Wife, wife, you got to go over there tomorrow night, you never heard such preaching and can that boy sing." So the next night at supper I said, "Won't you come over to the hall, I believe you'd like it, They said, "No, we are Catholics, we won't go. I said, "I don't care what you are you ought to go. "So that night I heard her say, "that's the best I ever heard. I think we just as well go in." He said, "All right." So the next night at supper I said, "Won't you go over and hear the service, I believe you'd like it." He said, "Well we've decided to go." 1 never had a better series of meetings than I had at Burbank.
Now you think it over. Is it not justice that God would communicate His will to one nation as well as to another? Peter said in Acts 10, In every nation He that feareth God and worketh righteousness is accepted of Him. 'Malachi 3:6, Behold I am God and I change not. Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Is that testimony worth anything to you ? Read Rev. 1:6 7, Mal. 3:2,, Mal. 4, Matt. 24:14, Ps. 85:13. And tell me can you see that God would bring forth His strange work in the latter days and the people would be set in His steps and that would include Baptism in Water, and the Laying on of Hands, and then you would be in the church? Ask God about it, He knows the way. Read James 1:5, If any of you lack wisdom, Let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. He knows what we need and if you ask in faith He will give it to you, since God said He would send the Gos

pel in latter times as in Daniel 2:44. In the days of these ten kings the God of Heaven would set up a kingdom that would never be destroyed nor given to another people. So He did set up the church as it was in Galilee and Judeah.
The same principles are taught, the same gifts are given. We have Zion as our goal. We love to say, let's march on to Zion. Get ready and go with us, let's buy the wedding garment with deeds of righteousness and love. Now let's consider more of the scriptures that refer to the Restoration in the latter days in order to build up our faith and give us a sure foundation that no doubts will arise, and we can go on and build a Zion. In Ps. 85 we read, that the mercy of God would be given to everyone. The text is this, "Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land. Then He refers to the word of truth coming out of the earth and righteousness which is the Gospel will come down from Heaven and then our land shall yield her increase. Now looking back on the history of the church. The messenger delivered the plates of gold from which the Stick of Joseph was translated, on September 22, 1827. Ile translated them and gave them back to the Messenger in 1829. He delivered the manuscript to the printer in 1829 and at that time the young man was 24 years old on December 23. The record was printed by April of 1830. There were only 5,000 copies of that first edition. I have one of those 5,000. It contents are amazing. Its terminology is of 2,000 years ago. A marvelous history of God's dealings with the ancient Nephites of ancient America. Could you tell me of a man in the world now or ever has been who could or did write or produce or translate a record that would favorably compare with the Book of Mormon? Echo answers (none).
The next move in this great Restoration was setting up

the church, and how do you suppose it happened that Joseph Smith put the church together with every officer and every part, every principle of doctrine, every gift and made it work. He didn't, God did it through him. What God doeth it shall be forever. Nothing can be put to it nor anything taken from it and God doeth it that man should fear before him. God told him how.
Now let me introduce to you one of the prophets of the Old Testament, Daniel 2:44. In the days of these kings will the God of Heaven set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor given to another people and it will stand forever. Is this testimony worth anything, if so what are you going to do about it? This was a latter day event and was given for our profit and learning. Can you profit by these ancient writings concerning the latter days? This kingdom that the God of Heaven would set up in the latter days would be like the kingdom Jesus set up when He said, Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, or what Jesus referred to when He said, " From the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of God is preached and every man presseth into it. " Luke 16:16. God does not change. Is that Scripture worth anything in our search for the truth as it is in Jesus Christ?
What say you brother?
Now consider the testimony by prophecy of Jesus Christ as of Matthew 24, when the disciples asked Him the sign of His coming and the end of the world. He gave as one of these signs, "This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come. " The point I want you to see is, not only was it given as a sign of the end, but that it was the Gospel of the Kingdom. That is that old, old story and a duplicate of the message they preached in

Galilee In all its parts, in all it's power and glory meetmg the needs of the people of our day.
When the angel came to the prophet in Palmyra, he laid his hands on Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery and said 'upon you my fellow servants in the name of Messiah. I confer the priesthood after the order of Aaron, and it shall never be taken from the earth until the Sons of Levi shall offer an offering in righteousness.
That was authority, and since the beginning of that organization on April 6, 1830 with six charter members, the church grew to a membership of approximately 200,000 in the space of 14 years.
From the rock bound coast of Maine to the sunny land of California, from Hudson Bay to the Gulf of Mexico,it did not stop. It went streaming through the portals of the Rocky 'Mountains, and the Golden Gate of California, across the Great Blue deep through 60 degrees of longitude and 10,000 miles of latitude in far off Australia, the message went and thousands received its blessings, and in the islands of the sea, some of them untrod by civilzed man. It reached out to those barbarians, and they received its blessings too. Going eastward it crossed the great Atlantic to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France and the Holy Land. It found refuge and multiplied thousands were blessed by a testimony from Heaven and lived and died in its power and glory. Have they died in vain? I say no. When the Lord, my God, shall come end all the Saints with Him they will be in that number, for they received the seal of their adoption into the Kingdom of God and that Kingdom is as the stone that was cut out of the mountain without hands and will roll forth until it shall fill the whole earth. Then the Lord will be King

over all the earth and then there shall be one Lord and His name one.
The people who embraced the angel's message were baptized by men who were called of God. That baptism was by authority and will stand as the work of those disciples whom Jesus called and said to them, I have called you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit. And your fruit shall remain. An ordination like that will stand and their work will be recognized in the Day of Judgment. Now you think this through and know this that it takes authority to administer the ordinances of the Gospel and every Torn, Dick and Harry cannot administer, but only those who are called of God by Revelation. So the prophets saw our day and told us about the Great Restoration and the reason for it. The people had transgressed the taw, changed the ordinance (Baptism) and broke the everlasting covenant. The priesthood was taken from the earth and God sent the angel (as of Rev. 14:6, 7 with the everlasting gospel to preach. They had the word, but they did not have authority. So God sent the angel as He said He would.
Do you believe? Blessed are you. The country is nearly full of unbelievers. Come to the waters of salvation, get down on your knees like the soldiers of General Joshua and in humility receive this Gospel and you can receive a testimony and seal of adoption as a child of the King and not sit and grieve and wonder if it is true. Awake ye Saints; of God, awake, call on the Lord in mighty prayer that He will Zion's bondage break and bring to naught the fowler's snare. Awake to union and be one, Or saith the Lord ye are not mine, yea like the Father and the Son, let all the Saints in union join.
Another outstanding prophecy concerning this great and marvelous work, Acts 2 17 18, "And it shall come to

pass in the last days saith God, I "ll pour out my Spirit upon all flesh and your sons arid daughters shall prophesy and your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions and upon my servants and my handmaidens I will pour out of my Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy.
This would only be in keeping with all his dealings in the past with people who would keep His commands. The Lord revealed to me through Spiritual dreams many times the things He wanted me to do or the things I have asked of Him.
To illustrate what I mean I will relate one Spiritual dream I had a short time ago. I was asked to preach at the Liberty Street Church, where I attend quite regular. I was wondering what subject I should use and I prayed and asked the Lord what would be my text. That night a heavenly messenger came to me in a dream and said "Your subject for the Liberty Street sermon is Gal. 5, Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free and be not entangled again in the yoke of bondage. "
DIRECTED WHERE TO GO
When I was in the South Dakota misison I had preached six weeks in a big schoolhouse, south of Springfield, and as I closed my meetings I had a spiritual dream. In my dream an angel appeared to me and told me to go up northwest of Springfield about two and one half miles, there were a few sheep there that will come in. I went and found the place, preached five sermons and baptized five.
Sometimes by way of encouragement he tells us things in. various ways. When I went to Springfield, Nebraska I dreamed the first night that Brother James Huff and I walked down to the Platte River and there three beautiful

fish came up to the edge of the water and I said, "Judge let's take them out." We did and we were looking at them and I said, "I wonder what the idea that this one is black? He said, "I don't know, but it is a daisy." That was the dream and in the morning, he said how many do we baptize here. I said three, but one of them is black. So sure enough the first one who gave her name for baptism was a colored woman. We baptized three.
THE LORD COMES TO OUR RESCUE IF WE LACK
When I was in the Eastern Iowa District, I was preaching in a very large Presbyterian church at a little town
called Emaline in Jackson County. One night a man came to me and said, "Do you see that big man over yonder in the corner?" I said yes, "He was the tallest man in the house." He said "You better look out for him." I said, "Why?" He said, "He'll ask you questions you can't answer. " I said, "It's not hard for me, to say, I don't know." He said, "Well he will sure make it unpleasant for you. I said, "I'll watch him."So the next night when I quit preaching he got up and said, "Young man I'd like to ask you one question." I said, "You can ask me a dozen if you want to." He said, "I think one will do." I said, "It might at that." He said, ''the very first verse in your Bible says, In the beginning God created the heavens arid the earth. You tell this people where He lived before He made the heavens will you? I said, " That's what's the matter with that fellow, He,' is not familiar with his text book. He said tell 'em. I said He lived in the heaven of heavens it's just as eternal as God is and we have no account of its creation. He said, "Where did you get that? I gave my Bible one flop and read it. After the service was over he slapped me on the shoulder and said, "You really put it on me tonight." I said, "Yes,

and I'll do it again if you get up. "He never tried it any more.
So when God sent the angel in these latter days He brought with him authority to preach. He brought that
with him and there is no discount in it. It's worth face value compared to the work when He was with them in
Galilee. He never said it would be less or sold at a discount.
If we need more direction, the avenues are open and He will never close them. Our wants are the same as those who have preceeded us and the same requirements for our salvation. Read Acts 17. God has made of one blood all the nations of the world and determined their times. So there is no royal blood coursing in my veins. We are on one common level so far as our opportunity to commune with God. Of course there is a way that seemeth right to some. Such as ''they say one church is as good as another." If that was true why did not Jesus Christ reform the Pharisee's religion. and adopt that as His church. Or, (bring it down to our time). If one church is as good as another at this time and in our day. Suppose we refer you to the church that teaches Polygamy, Adam God, and Blood atonement. and you open your mouth, shut your eyes and like a young robin swallow it. Jesus Christ has given a perfect pattern and those doctrine of devils and false teachings are not in His set up. So you be careful about your statement of belief and make it sound, and then they will believe you when you declare you will take Him at His word.
